Outstanding Volunteers of 2010 Recognized by Board of Supervisors

Last year, more than 9,600 volunteers and students gave 518,279 hours of service to Sacramento County, valued at more than $12 million. The Entertainment Industry Foundation Launches iParticipate

The Entertainment Industry Foundation has rallied the support of television networks and celebrities to help get the word out about the importance of service. The goal is to mobilize as many Americans as possible to start giving back to their communities by volunteering their time and resources to benefit education, military families, environmental conservation, public health, and financial security.
