Office Closures and Regional Parks Information for the Holiday Weekend

Most County offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6th, in observance of Labor Day. Sacramento County Parks will be operating on Monday, with the exception of Gibson Ranch. Gibson Ranch will be closed on Sept. 6. Regional Parks is implementing a temporary entrance fee increase of $8 for single vehicles and $13 for cars towing watercraft at all County Parks over the holiday period. This increase will not affect annual pass holders. Keep in mind that the alcohol ban in the American River Parkway (from Watt to Hazel) will be in force over the weekend. County Reaches Agreement for Gibson Ranch Equestrian Services

Sacramento County has finalized a contract with the Grace Foundation, a horse rescue organization, to provide interim boarding services for horses at Gibson Ranch while a longer term arrangement is developed. For more information, view the news release.

Budget Information Released

Details of Sacramento County’s recommended budget, including dates and times for hearings which will begin on September 8, are now available. Find more information on the Budget website.

Planning Department to Implement New Fees Effective September 23

These new cost recovery methods will allow the department to recuperate expenses and provide the most efficient and timely service. View the news release.

Sacramento County has many opportunities for residents to attend and participate in public meetings. Some meetings are also streamed on the Internet or broadcast on Metro Cable Channel 14. For some meetings, agendas, summaries, and video or audio recordings may also be available online.
